The Coronavirus: What We Are Doing, How You Can Help
The Fuerst Eye Center is committed to the health and safety of our patients, families, and staff. It is our top priority. As we continue to closely monitor the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, we offer you this insight about our current office cleaning protocols as well as guidance designed to help you remain healthy during the height of this cold and flu season.
Combined with our daily office janitorial service cleanings, our procedures include staff disinfectant cleanings of all office rooms after each patient encounter to help diminish the spread of germs. We are asking all patients with any cold or flu-like symptoms to reschedule their appointments.
The best way to prevent exposure to viral illness is to follow these tips:
- Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. An alcohol-based hand sanitizer is a viable option if soap and water is not available.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick
- Stay home when you are sick
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue
We will continue to monitor the state and county health departments, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and the World Health Organization (WHO) for updates, resources and information. It’s important for all of us to remain vigilant about our own health and wellness and to be patient and thoughtful of our neighbors and those who are concerned by the coronavirus outbreak, cold, flu and other illnesses.
Please see the CDC.gov website for more information.
We are committed to the care of our patients. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call us at (626) 856-2020.
