David Fuerst, MD

David Fuerst, MD is a prominent ophthalmic surgeon who has been performing corneal, cataract and refractive surgery for over 30 years. He is Board Certified in Ophthalmology and is a respected consultant and educator.

Dr. Fuerst received his Sc. B. (1975) and MD (1978) degrees from Brown University. He interned at Long Island Jewish-Hillside Medical Center and completed his ophthalmology residency at the prestigious Eye and Ear Infirmary of the University of Illinois. He was awarded a fellowship in corneal surgery and external eye disease at the University of California, San Francisco. He was named Director of the Corneal Service at White Memorial Medical Center, where he also served as ophthalmology residency program director. Dr. Fuerst has published several scientific papers, contributed to ophthalmic textbooks, and has trained residents and fellows in ophthalmology.

Dr. Fuerst served as President of the California Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons(CAEPS) in 2003. He has also served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of CAEPS.

Dr. Fuerst performs ophthalmic surgery at the Glendale Eye Surgery Center, and the San Gabriel Valley Surgery Center. Laser refractive procedures are performed at Laser Eye Associates near Cedars Sinai Medical Center and at Glendale Eye Medical Group. All of these facilities provide excellent care and have state-of-the-art equipment.

Jennifer Huang, MD

Jennifer Huang, M.D. specializes in cataract and glaucoma surgery and is Board Certified in Ophthalmology.

Dr. Huang obtained her Bachelor of Science in the Biological Sciences from Stanford University where she graduated with Distinction, Honors, and election to Phi Beta Kappa. She pursued her Doctorate in Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles where she graduated with election to Alpha Omega Alpha. Upon graduation, she was awarded both the Glasgow-Rubin Achievement Award from the American Medical Women’s Association and the Viola Hyde Scholarship for women in surgery. Dr. Huang completed her ophthalmology residency and subspecialty fellowship in glaucoma at the prestigious Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA. During her time at the Jules Stein Eye Institute, she was given the 2011 Bernard Schwartz Memorial Award by the American Glaucoma Society for excellence in her research on patients with glaucoma. Her commitment to excellence is reflected in the quality patient care that she delivers. Dr. Huang performs surgery at the Glendale Eye Surgery Center.
